PIE-A-DAY #36

Sometimes the best picture of a pie is the enjoyment the pie provides. As you can see, this pie was pretty much wiped out. It happened in record time too. I spent Sunday playing with rhubarb. It was another gift from producer Harriet. She brought a rare rhubarb offering along with some beautiful small strawberries. I decided to make a gallette to bring to Jonathan Gold’s birthday party. As you can imagine many of Mr. Gold’s friends are good cooks. Many of us brought goodies both savory and sweet. I added raspberries to the rhubarb and strawberries. They added another dimension of sweetneed to play off the sour rhubarb and the color was gorgeous. I think that this picture of an empty plate shows the love of good food that imbued the festivities.
