Jonathan Gold is the Pulitzer Prize-winning food writer for the Los Angeles Times. This week he reassesses Rustic Canyon, a wine bar in Santa Monica, now that Jeremy Fox (former chef of Ubuntu) is the chef.

He recommends the lavender almonds, the beets and berries salad, marinated olives, baby radishes, green pozole, raclette on toast and the pee wee potatoes in chicken giblet gravy.
