Fanatic! I hope this brief letter finds you at your very best. It is yet another two hours of excellent music. Not so much about the skill and care of those who gather the tunes for you as much as a testament to just how much available good music exists. That is to say, we have a lot of listening to do, Fanatic!
Tonight’s show features the great Donny Benet, which I know I have been wearing you out about. I think there is a great amount of perfectly delivered humor in the man’s approach. If you get a chance, please check out the video for the song we will play. It’s here:
Thanks to Denise for sending the J Mascis single. It fits perfectly into the show.
Next week we will start listening to The Lower Plenty. Great band out of Australia. Looking forward to getting this band’s music to you. Also, Engineer X came by the other day with a ton of new music and so we will capitalize on his great wealth of knowledge and throw some of that into the mix as well. Check the below listings for shows! Outstanding!

John Tejada maps electronic music across time, connecting the underground’s history with the sounds shaping its future. Deep cuts and new releases move through techno, electro, house, ambient, and other corners of electronic music, with each selection building naturally into the next. The show is as much about flow as discovery, tracing the ideas, rhythms, and innovations that continue to push electronic music forward. Expect established innovators alongside emerging producers and overlooked gems from decades past. Tune in to John’s show Tuesday and Saturday nights from 10pm to midnight.
Peanut Butter Wolf goes deep into a lifetime of collecting, pulling from more than 50,000 records alongside a digital archive packed with unreleased music and overlooked discoveries. The founder of Stones Throw Records favors the underdog, moving through hip-hop, funk, soul, electronic music, oddball records, rarities, and sounds that resist easy categorization. Inspired by generations of adventurous DJs and selectors, the show treats digging as an art form and the unexpected find as the ultimate reward. Tune in every third Sunday of the month from 8 to 10pm.
