LA Snapshots: Send KCRW your concert photos from the days before digital cameras

KCRW is launching a crowd-sourced photo series about your experiences at diverse music scenes, concerts, and block parties around LA. We’re looking for photos from days before digital cameras: Polaroids, disposable camera shots, anything offering a snapshot of LA’s music scenes back in the day.

Were you plugged into Chicano rock of the 1960s and 70s? Did you witness South LA’s jazz scene or the early days of hip hop? Did you snap photos of hair metal bands on the Sunset Strip? Have you spent way too much time at 1990s raves in downtown warehouses?

We need your help.

KCRW is launching a crowd-sourced photo series about your experiences at diverse music scenes, concerts, and block parties around LA.

We’re looking for photos from days before digital cameras: Polaroids, disposable camera shots, anything offering a snapshot of LA’s music scenes back in the day.

Send us your brief story (around 400 words) and at least 10 great photos from the LA music scene. Then we’ll turn it into a photo essay onKCRW.COM.

Check out our first installation in the series: Inside the angst and ecstasy of LA’s 1980s punk scene.
