    Big Concerns About Small Donations

    For months federal investigators have been looking into the reelection campaign of LA City Councilmember Nury Martinez and how it was paid for. They’re interested in a collection of small contributions, from people who gave as little as 5 dollars. Those donations, however, translated into big money for Martinez. But did she – or her staffers – break the law?
