Claude VonStroke is the patriarch of the Dirty Bird record label, an international collective of artists and DJs that share a particular aesthetic in progressive dance music. With it's origins in San Francisco, Dirty Bird began as a small barbecue in Golden Gate Park among friends, and has grown into an influential brand coming off a wildly successful Summer residency in the dance music mecca Ibiza, Spain. VonStroke stops by KCRW to talk to Jason about the Dirty Bird sound, the range of artists on the label, and his own new album Urban Animal on the eve of a North American tour.
