Dec 18, 2024

Legendary DJ D-Nice has been the quintessential party soundtrack for millions of people. He’s spun tracks from across the decades—R&B, ’90s pop, hip-hop, soul, and much, much more. Throughout his storied career, he's opened his contacts to bring friends from every corner of the music world on stage with him, creating epic parties that always hit the right note. He’s played everywhere from the 94th Academy Awards to Carnegie Hall, and, of course, he hosted the wildly popular Club Quarantine on Instagram (“part dance party, part social-media therapy”) during the pandemic. Whether performing in an iconic space or leading us through uncertainty virtually, D-Nice really is the people's DJ.

We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the end of KCRW’s Season of Giving Back pledge drive than with a D-Nice on-air dance party. Hit play for some Earth, Wind & Fire, Sister Sledge, and many more tracks that’ll make you go “oooo that’s my jam!

In conversation with Novena, D-Nice tells us all about his plans for New Years Eve in Los Angeles. He’s bringing an all-star lineup of classic hitmakers — including Next, Big Daddy Kane, Case, Kenny Burns, Estelle, Jon B., Tweet, Lady London, Mike Phillips, Nice & Smooth, and Johnny Gill — to the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall on December 31.

P.S - We’re giving away five pairs of tickets to this NYE extravaganza. Enter here for your shot!

First Choice - Love Thang (Remix by Tee Scott)

Earth, Wind & Fire - Shining Star

Thinking Of You (Dimitri From Paris Remix) - Sister Sledge
