Thanks for joining us on a jazzy Tuesday on Morning Becomes Eclectic. We celebrated the centennial of Miles Davis starting the show with the legendary LIVE debut of Miles Davis’ first great quintet in Pasadena 70 years ago, the first Miles Davis recording, a Miles Davis cover from Robert Glasper and a sample of his work from J Dilla and one of his last recordings before he passed in 1991 with a very cool rendition of Herbie Hancock's "Watermelon Man" with a legendary lineup. We also remember the late Sonny Rollins, the legendary jazz tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins, who passed away yesterday at 95 years old. Plus, the premiere of the sonically adventurous and playful collaboration between Panda Bear and Sonic Boom, including one of the best intro's you'll ever hear.
