Today’s edition of MBE is going above and beyond to deliver what can best be described as “Silver Lake dad vibes.” We’ve cued up a little something from Steely Dan’s seminal 1977 work Aja; indie-dad-rock kings Wilco with “Evicted” ahead of their forthcoming 13th album Cousin; and Beck’s classic “Loser” in honor of 30 years of Beck performing Live From: KCRW — his very first session on July 23, 1993.
