Willie Nelson still chasing dreams at 93

One of KCRW’s absolute faves, Ray LaMontagne, just released his 9th studio LP, Long Way Home. The entire record was inspired by a line in Townes Van Zandt’s “To Live Is To Fly:” “Where you been is good and gone / All you keep is the getting there” … “It took me nine songs to express what Townes managed to say in one line,” deadpans LaMontagne. “I guess I still got a lot to learn.” Tune into this MBE to hear his poignant country ballad “I Wouldn’t Change a Thing.” Plus, Grammy winning, Philly-based artist Bilal just announced that his first new LP in over eight years — Adjust Brightness — is set to be released on Sep. 27. Tune in for a spin of the genre-hopping (hip-hop-D’n’B-jazz-chill-out) lead single “Sunshine.”
