MBE Aug. 30: Verocai values, British bars, dance funk magic

Venture with us to northeast Brazil, where psychedelic four piece Glue Trip masterfully blends samba rhythms on their song “Lazy Days” — featuring intricate string arrangements from legendary Brazilian composer, singer, and producer Arthur Verocai. A perpetual pioneer, Verocai continues a longstanding tradition of working with fellow musical innovators. Consider his recent contribution to Hiatus Kaiyote’s 2021 masterpiece “Mood Valiant,” and the heft he lent to lead single “Get Sun.”
