Drift right through the middle of your week with the sun kissed sounds of LA-rooted soul group, The Altons. We have an early listen of their latest genre-blended smoothie of a single, “Float.” Listen close for 1960s spy thriller-esque instrumentation, bouncy hooks, and a tinge of Latin inspired psychedelic euphoria. And be sure to head out to The Observatory in Santa Ana on February 14th for The Altons to give you the perfect Valentine, a multi-45 record release party curated by SoCal’s finest purveyors of souldies, Penrose Records.

Plus, Durand Jones & The Indications pianist, Okanski, moonlights with a melodic lullaby of his own; Sly and the Family Stone uplift with their reminder that, “Everybody Is a Star;” and many more sonic gems where that came from to kick February off in style.
