Even though we’ll likely be waiting just a bit longer for peak New Music Friday to hit, there are major signs that the world around us is slowly coming back online. We’re digging into Latin-R&B alchemist Ralphie Choo’s somewhat slept on 2023 LP SUPERNOVA, and planning ahead to catch one of his just announced South by Southwest appearances. Plus, further spins of Portland duo Foamboy’s late 2023 smooth jam “Exit Sign” and “Ya Va Pasar” from LA’s Reyna Tropical have us basking in last years glow a little longer, even as our 2024 calendars begin to fill up.
