Music lovers across the world are pouring their hearts out in tribute to pioneering English rock guitarist, Jeff Beck. Regarded as a “guitarist’s guitarist,” Beck came to prominence in the mid-1960s when he replaced fellow English guitar hero Eric Clapton in the proto-psych band The Yardbirds. Both through his innovative work as a solo artist, and even more as a consummate collaborator, Jeff Beck will be remembered among the greats who’ve significantly shaped modern music.

We’re celebrating the six-string-titan throughout today’s show with selects showcasing the breadth of his immense talent. Among Beck’s most famous collabs is the co-writing session with Stevie Wonder that led to the creation of “Superstition.” We’re going deep on that story, and a whole lot more. Get in for the ride.

Elsewhere during our time together we’ll hear brand new Benny Sings, a poignant Fleetwood Mac request to honor Heisman trophy winner (and USC alum) Charles White, and the triumphant return of Global Beat: Mexico. Huzzah!
