Special Guest Chance the Rapper shares inspiring selections and a track you may be surprised by
KCRW’s signature music program — defying format since 1977.

We've got some tasty tunes for your Tuesday including a selection from Nirvana....No, not THAT Nirvana. A London band of the same name with a 1968 release titled “Rainbow Chaser,” thought to be the first-ever British recording to feature a specific audio effect throughout an entire track. Take a listen to hear the rest of the story.
And another rainbow related tune, perhaps the most iconic one that comes to mind, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow / What a Wonderful World” by Hawaiin singer-songwriter Israel Kamakawiwoʻole, as selected by our sentimental weather man, David Lynch.
Plus even more intriguing fun facts pulled from Novena’s bag of music history mixed in with Anthony’s personal KCRW nostalgia, reminiscing on unforgettable music discoveries from Björk to Black Pumas brought to him by none other than 89.9 FM. Speaking of which, it’s the penultimate day of KCRW’s Spring Pledge Drive and we need your support. Go to kcrw.com/give and help us keep this all going! You are essential, thank you!
