Willie Nelson still chasing dreams at 93
KCRW’s signature music program — defying format since 1977.

Perhaps nothing has ever embodied the *true* spirit of New Music Friday quite like The Blessed Madonna’s latest single, a collab with James Vincent McMorrow and A-Trak, fittingly titled “Brand New.” Hear it here and prepare to dance so exuberantly that you lose the ability to (over)think. Plus, alt-folk wunderkind Quinn Oulton shares “Just Calm Down,” a track very much designed to help you do what its title suggests. AND we have the second installment of “Chang’s Favorite Thang” — it’s our freshly launched weekly segment where MBE producer Anna Chang shares the one song that’s currently ruling her world. Right now, it’s the Beatles classic “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” She’s sharing it in honor of the track’s undercredited lead guitarist Eric Clapton who will play the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, Oct. 12.
