Following the mid-2023 LP release ANIMALS, jazz-futurist Kassa Overall returns with “2 Sentimental,” a brooding hip-hop flip of Duke Ellington’s “In A Sentimental Mood.” We’ve got it cued up for this installment of MBE alongside “The Atlantiques,” a bonus track from Meshell Ndegeocello’s latest The Omnichord Real Book, “True Love,” another swoon-worthy single from Indonesian souldies collective, Thee Marloes and a whole lot more.
