When perennial KCRW favorites Sault dropped their latest surprise album “Nine” last week, we assumed this week’s number one chart spot was a foregone conclusion. Imagine our surprise, then, to see French electro-pop duo Polo & Pan stealthily take the lead. It’s a good surprise, of course, as the pair’s “Cyclorama” is a pure delight. Expect to see both of these albums parked firmly in the top ten for quite some time.

Another pleasant surprise from this week’s chart is ample material for beefing up your “work vibes” playlists. Vocal-free goodies from Sweatson Klank, Daniel Avery, and John Carroll Kirby are fully up to the task.

Check out the full rundown of KCRW’s Top 30 Albums chart and our Top 30 Spotify playlist below.
