We're now in the final weeks of concerts for Irvine Meadows, an outdoor amphitheater that has served as Orange County's version of the Hollywood Bowl for 35 years. It's hosted everyone from Ozzy Osbourne to the Eagles to comedy, hip-hop and symphonies, but the Irvine Co. plans to demolish it after it closes at the end of the month to make way for more apartments and condos. The city of Irvine wants to build a replacement at the Great Park, but can Orange County ever replicate such a venue again?
