    Seven states went to the polls on Tuesday to decide who will face off in the November election. New York saw a surprise win by a 28-year-old progressive newbie: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She defeated high-ranking Democrat Joseph Crowley.

    Seven states went to the polls on Tuesday to decide who will face off in the November election. New York saw a surprise win by a 28-year-old progressive newbie: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She defeated high-ranking Democrat Joseph Crowley. Crowley had been mentioned as a possible future Speaker of the House, should Democrats flip enough seats in November. What do the results say – if anything – about the direction of the Democratic Party?
