An Uncertain Future

It’s the starkest warning yet from the United Nations: A new report says if we don’t significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, there will be irreversible changes to the earth with food shortages, refugee crises, flooding, mass extinction of plants and animals and a dangerously altered climate. The report focuses on the present, not the future, but there doesn’t seem to be a sense of urgency about climate change. Are people tuning out these catastrophic reports or just not paying attention in the first place?
