Almost immediately after Jeffrey Epstein’s death was announced early Saturday, conspiracy theories roared into action on both the left and the right sides of Twitter. President Trump retweeted the right’s theory that the Clintons were involved in Epstein's death, while some on the left argued it was Trump and Attorney General Barr who were likely behind it. In an op-ed in the New York Times, Charlie Warzel says this back and forth has marked a new low for America's post-truth world.
