    The new jazz record by Los Angeles-based tenor sax player and composer Kamasi Washington is 3-CD set featuring dozens of musicians and singers performing almost three hours of music.

    The new album is called The Epic, and includes a 32-piece orchestra and a choir with 20 singers.

    The musician, who has also played with Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill and Kendrick Lamar, talks us through his process and his sound.
