Supreme Court: LGBTQ employees are protected from discrimination
The All Black Lives Matter march in LA on June 14 denounced racial injustice and pushed for LGBTQ rights. Today, activists won a major expansion of those rights.

The Supreme Court ruled that gay and transgender people are protected from workplace discrimination. The court said they are included in the 1964 Civil Rights Act’s definition of sex.
The court today also refused to hear the Trump administration’s challenge to California’s sanctuary cities law.
