    According to the latest Field Poll, Attorney General Kamala Harris is well ahead of Rep. Loretta Sanchez for the Senate seat that Sen. Barbara Boxer is retiring. With the election still seven weeks away, Madeleine Brand talked to Sanchez about her run for Senate.

    “I’m a loyal Democrat, you can look at my record,” says Rep. Sanchez. However, as a Democrat from Orange County, she says she can work with everybody, including Republicans. “The Republicans are supporting me because they know I will… put policy ahead of politics.”
