    CDC director Dr. Robert Redfield changed his testing recommendation earlier this week, saying asymptomatic people exposed to the virus don’t necessarily need to get tested. He has since walked that back, now saying “testing may be considered.”

    CDC director Dr. Robert Redfield changed his testing recommendation earlier this week, saying asymptomatic people exposed to the virus don’t necessarily need to get tested. He has since walked that back, now saying “testing may be considered.”

    Meanwhile, Governor Gavin Newsom recently announced a partnership with a Massachusetts-based diagnostics company to more than double the state’s testing capacity.
