Many of those quizzes are written by people who aren’t on staff and don’t get paid. Former Buzzfeed staffer Matthew Perpetua wrote about one of the biggest quiz generators, Rachel McMahon. As a teenager, she created nearly 700 of Buzzfeed’s most popular quizzes.
