UC and state schools face class action lawsuits from students accused of committing sexual assault

The UC and Cal State System are facing big lawsuits over their handling of sexual assault cases. These suits weren’t filed by assault survivors, but by two students who were punished by their universities for sexual misconduct. Any court decision could apply not just to them, but to hundreds of other students (mostly men) who’ve been similarly punished.

Also, California Governor Gavin Newsom recently signed a new law that requires all presidential candidates to hand over five years of their income tax returns so they can appear on the state primary ballot. Is that law constitutional?
