    What we know about the man suspected of starting the Holy Fire

    In Cleveland National Forest, the Holy Jim Fire has scorched nearly 10,000 acres since it began Monday -- allegedly from arson. Forest Gordon Clark was charged Thursday on suspicion that he started the fire in Holy Jim Canyon.

    In Cleveland National Forest, the Holy Jim Fire has scorched nearly 10,000 acres since it began Monday -- allegedly from arson. Forest Gordon Clark was charged Thursday on suspicion that he started the fire in Holy Jim Canyon. He’s had a history of conflicts with his neighbors, and was involuntarily held in 1996 for a mental illness.
