Lawsuits against Southern California Edison bolstered by new investigation

According to an investigative report released by the Ventura County Fire Department, power lines operated by SoCal Edison were responsible for igniting the Thomas Fire. Dozens of lawsuits have already been filed against the utility, not only for damages caused by the fire, but also the resulting mudslides in Montecito. Lawyers representing plaintiffs in the case hope the investigation will give them a legal upper hand as the case proceeds in civil court.
