You can call California the conservative media’s piñata. It gets smacked over and over again about its so-called anti-business climate, high taxes and an overall liberal mantra. The governors of red states like Texas and Oklahoma make frequent trips to the state… not to sample Napa wines, we don’t think… but to trample business prospects here… and send corporations packing to their states. But does any of that ring true? And what about other states, such as Kansas, which cut taxes in a play at making them more business-friendly.
