Police in El Cajon today released video footage of an officer-involved-shooting. They were responding to calls about man whose sister said was acting erratic and wandering in and out of traffic. The woman called asking for help – saying her brother wasn’t acting right. One minute after police arrived, 38-year old Alfred Olango lay dead in the street. The confrontation happened on Tuesday. Police, at first, only released a still picture of Olango appearing to be in some kind of shooting stance, holding something that could’ve been construed as a gun. Will a video release bring calm to the community or make it worse?
