    This Monday isn’t just a celebration of the American labor movement. The Labor Day weekend is also cause for another celebration. Sunday, September 4, is also the City of LA’s 235th birthday. So when you’re firing up the grill this weekend, perhaps cracking open a cold one, consider what this city’s meant – not just to you, but to the world. Sure the undisputed ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’ reigns supreme when it comes to TV and movies. But LA’s contributions extend beyond that…. from fashion, science and sports… to medicine and research… technology…
