    Israel Announces Truce before Strike Kills Palestinian Girl

    Israel declared what it called “a unilateral and partial ceasefire” but moments later an Israeli airstrike killed an 8-year old girl in a refugee camp in Gaza City.  Steven Erlanger is London Bureau Chief for the New York Times reporting from Jerusalem.
