    Nazi-Confiscated Art Trove Recovered in Munich

    Last year, German authorities were investigating Cornelius Gurlitt for tax evasion. They found evidence that led to a raid on his Munich apartment, where they made an extraordinary discovery: 1400 paintings believed to have been confiscated by Nazis from Jews. Works of Picasso, Matisse and other masters.

    Last year, German authorities were investigating Cornelius Gurlitt for tax evasion. They found evidence that led to a raid on his Munich apartment, where they made an extraordinary discovery: 1400 paintings believed to have been confiscated by Nazis from Jews. Works of Picasso, Matisse and other masters. Not since the end of World War II has such a collection of art been discovered. Today, they released some results of the find, as we hear from Anne Webber, co-founder and co-chair of the Commission for Looted Art in Europe.
