Osama bin Laden used grainy videos and scratchy audiotape to address the world from inside a mountain cave. The Islamic State has mastered social media to disseminate shocking propaganda, attracting instant attention worldwide. The video of James Foley’s execution is just one example. We hear what might be next. Also,The New York Times reported on a possible coup in Afghanistan. The reporter, Matthew Rosenberg, was thrown out of the country yesterday—as a “spy.” And, More than 100 Russian trucks crossed into Ukraine today—part of the “humanitarian convoy” that’s been waiting at the border for several days. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s office called it “a flagrant violation of international law.”
