South Carolina Lawmakers Agree to Remove Confederate Flag

South Carolina's House of Representatives argued into the wee hours this morning before voting to remove the Confederate Flag from the state capitol grounds. What finally appeared to turn the tide was an emotional appeal from a descendent of Jefferson Davis, who was President of the Confederacy. Jenny Horne, a Republican from a suburb of Charleston, proclaimed, "I cannot believe that do not have the heart in this body to do something meaningful, such as take a symbol of hate off these grounds on Friday."
