On his way to the climate change summit in Paris later this year, President Obama needs a major accomplishment he can point to. But it won't come easy. We'll hear about his plan for generating electrical power from renewables instead of fossil — and its potential impact on global warming, air pollution and American households.

Also on the program, Ta-Nehisi Coates is a public intellectual focused on racism in America from the slavery of the past to contemporary police abuse. We hear his advice to his teen-age son.
