Los Ilusionistas: Colegiala

In the late 60's, several Peruvian guitarists began to fuse elements of Cumbia, Cuban, surf and psychedelic genres to create a new hybrid they called Chicha. Today's Top Tune draws from the songs that influenced the movement, including the most recognizable Cumbia of all time, the classic "Colegiala" written by Peruvian artist Walter Leon but made famous by the Colombian group Los Ilusionistas.
