The songs of British crooner Morrissey run deep in Mexican culture as they parallel songs of love and longing that are part of their musical tradition. A collective was formed calling themselves Mexrrissey that rendered new versions of beloved songs while adding horns, accordians and borrowing from Cumbias, Boleros and Rancheras while singing them in Spanish. We close out a week of Today's Top Tune dedicated to the LAMC held in NYC this week with "Cada Dia Es Domingo" with Ceci Bastida taking on lead vocals.
