A month long stint in rehab provided Nicole Atkinswith a new career phase. While there, she met a hip-hop music producer who told her to stop messing around with indie-rock cause she was a soul singer. Atkins ended up recording an album's worth of songs inspired by the likes of Dusty Springfield, Candi Staton, and Loretta Lynn. Check out “Darkness Falls So Quiet.”
