Fire officials say the weekend blaze in Malibu was caused by human activity , although they still have not labeled it either intentional or accidental. It does appear it began in a cave that’s often used for camp outs and late-night parties.

It does appear it began in a cave that’s often used for camp outs and late-night parties. In either case, the Malibu City Council is expected to vote next week on a proposal that would encourage more camping in the Santa Monica Mountains.
