    San Gabriel Monument Slow to Clean Up Its Act

    Almost a year ago, President Obama designated the Angeles National Forest and San Gabriel Mountains as a National Monument, creating expectations for federal oversight of 350,000 acres of wilderness. Today’s Los Angeles Times reports , “overflowing trash bins, broken marijuana pies, graffiti and road kill.”
