You might never have heard of Leonis and Dominica Malburg — both in their 80's — but their conviction of fraud and conspiracy is big news in the City of Vernon, an industrial town of less than 100 people in southeast Los Angeles County. Hector Becerra reported on last week's trial for the LA Times.
