Here in Los Angeles school started nearly two months ago, but some students at LA Unified’s Jefferson High School still aren’t assigned to classes that they need to graduate. A computer scheduling snafu assigned these kids to to overbooked classrooms or placed them in the same courses they’ve taken and passed.

Before running, Kashkari served in the Treasury Department during the George W. Bush administration, where he helped oversee the Troubled Asset Relief Program (or TARP) – the $700 Billion bank bailout.
