Last summer, three people died and six others became ill at Curry Village in Yosemite Valley. Visitors contracted the rare hantavirus by inhaling dust contaminated with urine, saliva and fecal matter from infected deer mice. There were concerns about continued visitation to one of America’s most beloved attractions.
