2016 Grammy Awards Nominees Performing Live on KCRW

Our SXSW showcases earlier this year featured THREE nominees – Hiatus Kaiyote, Wolf Alice and James Bay (for Best New Artist). — as well as year’s past, with Alabama Shakes making the list (SXSW 2012!)
Courtney Barnett – the only artist we’ve featured on MBE twice this year – is also nominated in the Best New Artist category.
Three of the 5 Best Dance/Electronic Album nominees came to KCRW to share those songs in a live setting: Caribou, Jamie xx, and Disclosure.
The rockers were well represented as well, with Death Cab for Cutie, My Morning Jacket, and Tame Impala.
On the soul/R&B/urban front, Leon Bridges, Lianne la Havas, Miguel and The Internetreceived nods as well!
Brandi Carlile was nominated for Best Americana Album while Glen Hansard is up for Best Folk Album.
Last but not least, longtime KCRW favorite Rocky Dawuni was nominated for Best Reggae Album and Natalia Lafourcade was nominated for Best Latin Rock album!
