From KCRW DJ Mario Cotto:

Last fall, Tanlines had a flurry of remixes for a number of KCRW favorites — Au Revoir Simone, The Tough Alliance, El Guincho and, a personal favorite, Telepathe. The production duo — Jesse Cohen of Professor Murder and Eric Emm of Don Caballero — decided they wanted to collaborate on something while Eric was helping produce a Professor Murder release. The organic nature of their collaboration is evident in their playful sound which is equal parts grimy, urban low end and tropical melodies. Essentially, its the sound of sitting on a front stoop on an early summer night drinking a Pina Colada-flavored Brooklyn Bodega ICEE.

Tanlines originally debuted their new tracks as glitchy homemade videos on their YouTube channel but their most recent release was a split 7” with Salem (another group to look out for) released as part of The FADER/Souther Comfort 7-Inch series. You can hear their beautiful new track “S.A.W.” at The Fader site.
