“Theophilus London is a mash up of 90’s techno drum beats, indie rock attitude, and dark synth sounds with a twist of 80’s hip hop symbolism and aesthetics. Just by the name alone, you know you’re in for a ride of interesting sounds. I’ve never really been a fan of emcee’s rhyming over techno beats, but this guy is a rare exception. He expertly rhymed over Kraftwerk and others while invoking emotion and soul on his highly slept on release “This Charming Mixtape.” He has a new single out on Green Label Sound and you can see the video for Humdrum Town” here.”
