When I saw Black Mountainlive for the first time, they absolutely blew me away. It was rock ‘n’ roll that I could feel in my bones! Truly exhilarating in its rawness, but also its precision. It was an early afternoon set at the Outside Lands music festival a couple years back. It was the very first day and it still ended up being one of my favorite performances when the fest came to a close a few days later. The band was JUST in LA at the Bootleg Theater so I am remiss for not posting this sooner BUT there is good news — they will be back! Mark your calendars for November 24 when the band will be playing the El Rey.

In the meantime, enjoy the video for “The Hair Song” off their new album, “Wilderness Heart,” out this month.
